For this project, MSC is providing a new singlemode fiber backbone loop for the entire campus of the VAMC to be in addition to the existing multimode fiber backbone already in place. 
The project also includes the creation of two new “nodes” from which the individual buildings will be provided with new fiber.  The majority of the fiber will be installed in existing ductbanks, manholes, and building entrance conduits, with the exception of the south end of the campus where, three new manholes with interconnecting ductbanks will be installed to complete the backbone pathway loop.
